Shepparton Optical Services is a unique Optometry and Optical dispensing outlet.

The owners of Shepparton Optical, Alan Schmedje and Theresia Cirillo, were both raised and educated locally. The local connection between Shepparton Optical and the people of the Goulburn Valley began when Brendan Norden established the practice in the early 1980’s. Brendan was also locally raised at Katandra. Theresia began at the practice as a receptionist in 1990 and Alan commenced practice in 1992 having graduated as an Optometrist at the end of 1991. In 1993 the business was purchased from Brendan by Alan. Theresia, having furthered her career by gaining her qualification as an Optical Dispenser in 1999 joined the business as a partner in 2000. Kara Mitchell, also raised in Shepparton, joined the business as a consulting Optometrist in May 2000.

Alan and Theresia believe that integrity in business is everything and they strive to provide a service that is honest and provides excellent products and services. The Number 1 priority of Shepparton Optical is to provide their customers with the most appropriate solution to their vision’s needs.

To achieve this they have invested a lot of time and money in making sure their qualifications and training are up to date and that the latest developments in eyecare and spectacles are available at their practice. They are also conversant with the latest in single vision and multifocal contact lens technologies and will happily refer people for surgical correction of their vision.  These surgical options include PRK, LASIK, refractive lensectomy and cataract surgery. Their goal is to make sure that the people of Shepparton and surrounding areas see well now and in the future.
